 Life at Deerfield Academy is about more than just classes. It is even about more than being a student. Life at Deerfield is about being a person. It is about the people and the place. It is about the nighttime discussions of Virgil, or the biology of plants, while eating ice cream with hall mates. It is about the faculty member who stops to say hello or helps with a math problem over lunch, and the student who goes to practice early to help another work on his slap shot. It is about the steps of the main school building, worn smooth by the feet of generations.
