Make Your Gift!

Annual Support:
This long-standing tradition of the school is a volunteer-driven effort that seeks unrestricted gifts from Deerfield parents and grandparents to support educational excellence and unlimited opportunities for Deerfield students.

Why should parents make a gift to Deerfield? Your gift will help to retain outstanding faculty and bring guest lecturers to the school; make new library acquisitions and information resources possible; purchase laboratory and classroom equipment; make improvements to student and athletic facilities; and expand financial aid. In short, there is a constant need for additional financial resources to maintain Deerfield, with more demands being made each year.

For 2008-2009, Deerfield Parents Annual Support is aiming at 100% parent participation in the giving of unrestricted gifts to Deerfield. We can only make this goal with your gift, so please send your tax-deductible contribution today. No gift is too small and every one is essential.

The Deerfield Parents' Committee solicits gifts to Annual Support and the 2008-2009 committee will be chaired by Bob and Liz Nolan, parents of Lilly '10, along with many more energetic parent volunteers.

Please contact
William Barry if you'd like to get involved with future parent fundraising activities.

The Campaign to Honor the Class of 2009:
This special capital campaign will focus on the expansion and refurbishment of the Greer Store, which we believe will reinforce Deerfield's enduring sense of community for future generations.

This year, the Campaign to Honor the Class of 2009 is chaired by Doug '69 and Maggie Squires, parents of Nick '09, along with the leadership and support of more than 50 senior parent volunteers. Here, too, the campaign goal is 100% participation.

You can make your gift online to the 2009 Campaign to Honor the Class of 2009 using your credit card. Please be sure to direct your gift to the "Senior Parents' Gift" option.

If you cannot make a gift now, you can make your pledge online to the 2009 Campaign and periodically Deerfield will send you a reminder.

Gift Planning & The Boyden Society:
Many alumni and friends have chosen to support Deerfield by making "planned gifts" that may include assets such as cash or securities, or other assets; life income gifts whereby the donor transfers an asset and retains, or provides for another person, an income for life; charitable lead trusts that may permit people to save on income, gift and estate taxes; or bequests. Membership in the Frank L. and Helen Childs Boyden Society is open to all who wish to join by making a planned gift to Deerfield. For more information, please contact Linda Minoff, Director of Planned Giving at (413) 774-1872.
