Alumni in the News - Julie Hand '97
October 8, 2009 | Congratulations to Julie Hand '97 who has launched her first fictional novel: "Wushu Moon Magic." Since graduating from Middlebury College in 2002, Julie has worked in the publishing arena, and has written creative pieces for the international editions of National Geographic Magazine, Revolutionhealth.com, Stratton Magazine, The Manchester Journal, Middlebury Magazine, and From Field to Table.
Last year Julie returned to her home roots in Vermont and she dug up a series of journals from a Watson Fellowship she received post-college to study overseas Chinese festivals in 15 countries. Reading the journals inspired her to tell the tale of her experiences and the result was "Wushu Moon Magic."
